Thanh Ngo, PsyD

Hello! I’m Dr. Ngo, a licensed clinical psychologist at Halcyon Therapy Group. I am based in San Antonio, TX but licensed in both Texas and Wisconsin. I am PSYPACT approved and see clients virtually in 39 states.

I specialize in trauma-focused interpersonal therapy with a particular emphasis on military personnel and individuals who have experienced childhood and generational trauma. I am deeply committed to aiding those whose lives have been impacted by trauma, empowering them to reclaim their agency and forge a resilient life trajectory. However, my experience also extends to anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and workplace challenges like imposter syndrome, workplace dynamics, and burnout.

I am fluent in both English and Vietnamese, offering therapy in both languages, a capacity that allows me to engage with diverse clients more effectively. My professional background encompasses diverse settings such as medical hospitals, government institutions, and private practice, working across a broad spectrum of populations.

I have worked in medical hospitals, government institutions, and private settings with a wide range of populations. I utilize a client-centered approach (meaning I believe YOU are the expert on you). This approach allows clients to identify their own strengths and resources. I also use cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based therapeutic approaches. My goal is to offer clients a warm, empathic, and safe place to express themselves and address their challenges.
